There are plenty of opportunities to serve our community through Kiwanis.
Below are highlights of some of the things we do:
Our Local Community Service Projects
Lehigh Community Services: Our main support to this social service organization is through donations of household items including furniture, clothing, and appliances to needy families through our Thrift Store activities. We also support financially on special projects to improve the facility / services such as replacement of food pantry freezers.
Lehigh Acres Youth Sports: We support Lehigh Acres Little League, Pop Warner Football, Athletic Programs at East Lee High School and Lehigh Senior High School.
Boys & Girls Club of Lee County: We have done several projects at their Lehigh Acres location over the years and look to expand our time and talents with them. These projects include: Painting the inside rooms and hallways, repair or replacement of picnic benches, donations of various recreational equipment for use by the kids, mulching and landscaping of grounds.
Learning for Life Lee County: We support this non-profit arm of the Boy Scouts of America, who provides character education course work for children from Pre-K to 12th grade.
Kiwanis Thrift Store: Volunteers are always welcome at our store. We have many opportunities to serve, whether one day per week, a few hours, or daily. Contact Damon Shelor @ 239-369-6336 for information on volunteering.
